Bumping into Town//Rachel Brown

Remington had decided to go back to Cardriff for a little while. It was a little while since he left Torchwood 5 to go to work for Torchwood 6. It was nice to be back in London, but he did miss the old team. Maybe he would drop by and say hi to them. He wondered how they were doing now.

Remington parked his car and decided to walk around town for a little while. go window shopping for a bit. He was getting married. He knew they would never have children and he was fine with that. He just wanted to make Winter happy. He needed to flex himself a bit more.  He was going to do that. Winter deserved the best of him. She was about to be linked to him.

He took getting married seriously. Once they were married he wouldn't be marrying again. If it didn't work out it was though.  He was going to have to work it out with Winter.

He was busy thinking about Winter that he didn't watch where he was going, he bumped into someone.
"Sorry about that," Remington started then saw who it was. "Rachel, how are you?"

Having a half day at Torchwood was a rare thing. But today Rachel had one. Which basically meant that she had finished all she had on her 'to do' list, and Jack hadn't been able to come up with anything new. So she decided to take some time off, which was perfectly fine, cause she hardly ever took time off. So she was wandering down the streets of Cardiff, doing a bit of window shopping, as she looked for a new place to have lunch. Rachel had stopped to look at a dress in one particular window, when she was bumped into. She was just about to yell, that the person should watch where he was going. It wasn't the first time she had been bumped into like that. But then she recognized the man. "Remy?"

It had been quite a while since Remington moved back to London. Rachel couldn't help but wonder if it them getting drunk and ended up in bed together had anything to do with it. But none of the others on the team had seemed to notice, and Remy had acted perfectly normal. So she had assumed that that wasn't it. "I'm good.. How are you? how's London?"

Remington looked at Rachael. She did look good. They really haven't taken about the night they spent together. He did enjoy his time with her. It was great to see her again. He wondered what she had been up tp since he left Torchwood 5.
I am doing good London is great. So how's your life going? We really haven't talked much." Remington said. He hoped everything was okay with her.

"That's great" Rachel smiled. She found it a bit odd, to ask how her life was going. As if it needed to be heading in one specific direction. "It's going okay. you know.. work". There was a bit of an awkward silence. It was true that they hadn't talked much, but surely they would have something they could talk about?
"I was actually looking for somewhere to have lunch, if you want to join me?" She would love the company. Eating lunch on your own could be pretty boring.

She did have a beautiful smile. Remington was getting hungry. He guesses he would get something to eat after he talked to Rachel.
"Work is work. Torchwood 6 isn't to bad either." Remington told her. He was surprised when she mention lunch. She invited him along. "Sure lunch sounds great."

"Great" Rachel smiled at him, and continued her walk down the street, hoping that he would follow. "So what are you in the mood for? Pizza? Indian? sushi?" At this point Rachel was so hungry she didn't really care. As long as they found something soon, anything would do.

Not a lot had changed at Torchwood, since he left. It was all pretty much the same. Rachel had changed a bit though, or at least she liked to think that she had. She had been to outer space, that would change a person, wouldn't it?

Remington followed Rachel. To tell the truth it really didn't matter where they went to eat.
"How about Pizza, it's simple and fast." Remington said. He wondered if they were going to talk. It would be nice to really hear what was going on with her.
